Description
Here is the owl request for ~tiffc for winning the contest for ! Congrats on winning!
Tools:
4H, 2H, HB, 2B, and 4B Prismacolor graphite pencils
Strathmore 300 series bristol with vellum paper 8x11
Tissues
Kneaded eraser
Prismacolor colored pencils for eyes
Time: About 12 hours give or take
P.S. Scanner is not the best. I played with the lighting and such, and this is the best I could get. I've had worse scanning screw ups though
This picture kind of reminds me of Harry Potter. With the owls and what not.
I don't usually draw animals, so I'm happy with the outcome of this.
Comment, fav, critique. All is greatly appreciated!!

This is my very first critique, so I'll just get right to it, shall I?
This owl radiates majesty and wisdom. I love the composition of colors you chose. The eyes pop with a great contrast to the owl's black and white plumage.
And the shading *swoon* the beak is just perfectly captured.
The only two changes I could suggest for a next time, would be the size of the right eye. It is just ever so slightly bigger than the left. Another thing is, to me, the bird seems to be gazing away from the audience while the beak is in the very center of the page. Somehow, I think the beak should be turned just a bit to match the eyes.
These things hardly take away from the piece, I just feel they are worth mentioning for the next time you decide to draw an owl <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
Overall, I am very impressed and you have done a great job capturing this owls quiet yet powerful demeanor. Very well done.
